BBW Minis (French Collection and New Fall)

Hi everyone,

A week ago, I snagged a few (8 actually) of the new minis from BBW. I’ll start by saying that I haven’t burned any of these yet…so this is a “cold” review.

I actually bought two each of French Baguette and Sweet Macaron because I loved them so much. These two (along with Cafe au Lait) are the three new Paris candles from Bath and Body Works. They are all very different that the three Paris candles that come out last year (Lavendar Macaroon, Caramel Cake, and Spiced Madeleine).

I actually fell in love with French Baguette…it is a warm, fresh from the oven, baked bread scent that is spot on! It truly smells like walking into a bread shop! Sweet Macaron is also divine…it is a sweet cookie with a definite note of raspberry jam. These two may be my top contenders for the next 2/$20 sale. I get the feeling French Baguette may be a top seller, meaning that it will sell out fast!

The last of the French candles is Cafe au Lait. It has more of a sweet cream note in it that the YC version…but it is most definitely a coffee scent! I also love the packaging of this line….it looks almost like a pastry bag to me 🙂

I also got 3 of the new(er) fall scents. I grabbed the Cinnamon Nut Bread since it is comparable to Cinnamon Roll from YC (which they retired). It definitely has a more spicy and even doughy scent (without an icing note), which I actually really like!

The last two I grabbed were Pumpkin Cupcake and Spiced Cider. I think Spiced Cider may have come out last year…but I fell in love with it. It screams Autumn to me! I love the apple oils in it and the spice is just the right balance of not overpowering the apple. I also loved Pumpkin Cupcake…it is actually very similar to the YC swirl of Pumpkin Cupcake (vanilla cupcake and spiced pumpkin I believe). It definitely has a sweet vanilla and pumpkin scent!

Well these should keep me busy for a while!
