Removing tarts with ice cubes

Here’s a fun trick to remove an old tart EASILY from your warmer! Use ice cubes!

Step 1: (If electric: remove the “wax tray” so water doesn’t get into the light bulb!) Make sure the wax is hardened and cooled first!

Step 2: Put on 2-3 ice cubes on top the hardened wax for about 5-10 minutes. 5 minutes usually does it for me!

Step 3: Remove the wax

Step 4: use a paper towel to wipe up any water that may have melted from the ice onto the tray.

Now you’re ready to try a new tart!

  1. Or just pop that whole tray/dish into the freezer for several minutes. πŸ™‚ I use tea light warmers and just put the whole thing in the freezer.

  2. If you didn’t melt it for the eight full hours, can you pop it back in and melt it for a little longer? I don’t think I want to have 8 continuous hours of fragrance.

    • Hi Andy…you absolutely can melt in multiple iterations! If you turn off your warmer, you should be able to turn it back on and remelt a few times. When I say 8 hours, sometimes that is 4 days with 2 hours melts! (And I recommend just leaving the tart in until its scent runs out)!
