Cinnamon & Sugar

I will begin the review saying that I love this scent. Cinnamon & Sugar was discontinued (to my dismay) about 3 years ago. I miss it! It was spicy and sweet….just like the toast I used to make as a kid!

However…I’ve been holding onto this tart for a while (at least 4 years). The shelf-lives of Yankee Candle tarts vary by scent and storage….but this one didn’t seem to store well! It was virtually scentless when melted and even perhaps powdery.

The other times I’ve melted or burned Cinnamon & Sugar…it was strong and wonderful!

So my lesson…if you love a scent, and have it as a tart…melt and enjoy rather than save it! It’s better to enjoy the scent, even if you don’t have any more left…then to save it and have it become weak!

  1. I have this in my Tart Warmer now, for the second evening in a row and it lasted more than 8 hours. A great scent! And it’s nice to read that someone out there believes that to truly enjoy a YC scent, you need to burn or warm it! I’ve considered holding-on to a few of the more “rare” tarts in my collection of around 100 but i would rather smell them and HOPE that i can find them again in the future πŸ™‚

    • Joseph, I’m with you…I’ve just started realizing that I’d rather enjoy my favorite scents (and hope they pop up again at outlets and as treasures) than have the scent start to fade!

Over 100 tarts! πŸ™‚ That’s amazing! Tarts are the way to go….such a good throw for the price πŸ™‚

And Cinnamon &Sugar hopefully will make a return! It’s definitely in my top 10!
