Coconut Caramel Clusters

So I broke my wax ban to try out one of the new Girl Scout Cookie candles from Yankee Candle. I am in love with their Coconut Caramel Clusters…they are my FAVORITE cookies of all time! So I had to give this candle a try!

I will tell you my first impressions…for your own benefit! Because this candle is lovely! I ordered Coconut Caramel Clusters online, and had not sniffed it yet (blind faith!). When it arrived, I was disappointed. Cold, this scent smelled like Yankee Candle’s Salted Caramel…..all I got were sharp caramel notes of a rehashed candle.

girl scoutBUT, once lit, MAGIC happened….so if you like the Girl Scout’s Coconut Caramel Clusters, give this candle scent a chance!

The Scent: After an initial caramel pulse, the tropical and exotic coconut scents explode! This scent is a perfect caramel-coconut scent…sweet, fruit, definitely decadent…I love it! A-

The Throw: I was pleasantly surprised…definitely a solid, and consistent, medium throw. It fills up my living area with a sweet scent that is constantly detectable, but never overbearing. It smells like someone is baking coconut-caramel macaroons! B+

Overall, i was really happy with my wax-ban “cheat!” Coconut Caramel Clusters is a great “candle-adaptation” of the Girl Scout Cookie and had a wonderful throw. Don’t let the cold sniff fool you, this scent is not a rehash, but a new scent that I hope Yankee Candle adds to their full line-up! I want tarts!

me2Lastly, i ran my first half marathon in DC today and it was so much fun! I’ll definitely be running more…and training to attempt a full marathon!

Personally, I’m not a runner but in February I started to walk 2 to 3 miles every day. And even more on the weekend. It makes me feel great! πŸ™‚
