Yesterday, I decided to try the new Yankee Candle spring 2016 scent April Showers.
It was Earth Day, and April is coming to a close, so I thought it would be the perfect Friday night scent. My quick thoughts: it’s just okay.
The Scent: Okay, it wasn’t bad…but it came off as a generic “clean spring shower” scent that you could get anywhere. It had a spring rain on green leaves feeling with a hint of a perfumey note and just a tiny touch of lemon. That lemon note was way too weak. At times, it was over-bearing and almost gave me a headache. So not bad, just very standard. I could go to Target and get a “Spring Rain” room spray with the same basic scent. C
The Throw: The throw was great! It started off as a medium-strong, and eventually faded into a medium after multiple hours. I could still smell the lingering scent of April Showers even the next day! A
So, this scent just was not for me. I don’t know what I was expecting, but with a lemon in the picture, I was hoping for something a touch more fruit-based. (But that’s just me!)
