Yankee Candle: Riviera Escape

IMG_20170617_172918.jpgRiviera Escape is a new Yankee Candle scent for the spring/summer of 2017…. so of course I had to give it a try!

The Scent: This one was weirdly off to me. It had coconut notes, beachy floral notes, and a hint of tropical green palms. I can’t describe it, but the sweet tropical fruit note just clashed with the floral, salty green note. I loved it during the first hour (coconut glory!), but then the seaside and floral notes made it just sort of unpleasant. D

The Throw: Not bad; I’d say a medium throw that filled up my living room for many hours. No complaints, just no wow factor. B+

Overall, there was just something about Riviera Escape that I didn’t like…I’d suggest you give it a sniff to try it for yourself!

  1. Too bad! I grabbed a large outlet jar of this with the larger label last summer and loved it on cold. I plan to burn it next month, hopefully it won’t be too weird, but I like a lot of those notes.
