Island Waterfall was one of Yankee Candle’s new summer 2017 scents that I am just getting around to trying. I usually hate fresh, water-based scents… but I actually didn’t mind this one!
The Scent: It was watery and had subtle floral and green notes. It reminded me a bit of the retired Yankee Candle scent Water Garden, just with less floral and more of a watery scent. Overall, this was one of the better ‘fresh summer’ scents I’ve tried. B
The Throw: The throw was a medium that faded into the background to create a subtle, “I have the window open near a waterfall,” scent. It was nice, since this scent could be over-bearing if there throw were too strong. It filled up my room consistently for many hours. Overall, no complaints on this one. B+
Overall, Island Waterfall was surprisingly decent. It’s still not my type of scent, but as far as fresh scents go, I liked the ambiance it created. I’m glad I tried it, but I probably wouldn’t buy it again.
