I’ve been a fan of Mango Peach Salsa from Yankee Candle for a long time. In fact, I remember it was one of the first tarts I melted when I got my first apartment as a graduate student many years ago.
The Scent: This is a fruity scent. Peach is the most dominant note and reminds me of Yankee Candle’s Juicy Peach scent. The peach is just a touch artificial, but still smells sweet and ripe. The mango is a bit more subtle and adds a hint of tropical fruit. There is also a touch of citrus and lime. Overall, I am a fan of this summery, fruity scent. B+
The Throw: The one traditional critique of Mango Peach Salsa has been that the throw is fairly light. However, the tart I’m melting is definitely at a medium throw. It has been filling up my living room for a few hours and it is not one of those scents you forget is melting. It could definitely benefit from being a notch stronger, but no real complaints here. I will say that previous tarts I’ve melted have been fairly light… so I’ll have to investigate if this is a lucky tart (aka inconsistent throw) or if this is a new tart blend that has been improved. But the tart I’m currently melting is a winner. B+
Overall, Mango Peach Salsa continues to be one of my favorite summer scents!
